Here I go again. Just when my Conservative friends think I’m “in the pack” I go and break ranks with them. That’s the funny thing about Libertarians. We just don’t seem to fit anybody’s mold.
From the WXIX website:
(FOX19) – A stunning ruling this week with major implications for every American.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruling this week that jail officers and guards have the right to strip search all new jail inmates, even those arrested for minor traffic offenses.
But was the ruling constitutional?
Ben has the Reality Check you won’t see anywhere else.

I guess the most disturbing part of this, for me, is that this was a minor offense. They guy didn’t pay a fine! Or more accurately, the system reported he hadn’t paid the fine. He actually had, and even produced proof that he had before he was arrested.
Now listen, I’m not stupid. I understand that inmate and guard safety cannot be ignored. But there has to be a balance between your rights and security.
Hey, here’s an idea. If those TSA porno scanners work so well, why not use them? Oh, right. They don’t.
The rights we have are inalienable and guaranteed by the Constitution. They can’t be taken away at will. A balance must be sought.

I like what Gary Johnson had to say on Huffington Post.
