How Many Holders Can One Ballot Hold?2 min read

I must admit, I’m a bit torn on voter ID laws. I see the benefits, but I also see potential drawbacks.

But this one should really knock your socks off.

It appears that a young man was able to enter a D.C. polling place, and gain access to Eric Holder’s ballot. That’s right, Attorney General Eric Holder. The same Eric Holder who has declared that there is no proof that in-person voter fraud is a problem.

From Breitbart:

In a new video (below) provided to Breitbart.com, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas demonstrates why Holder should stop attacking voter ID laws–by walking into Holder’s voting precinct and showing the world that anyone can obtain Eric Holder’s primary ballot. Literally.

The video shows a young man entering a Washington, DC polling place at 3401 Nebraska Avenue, NW, on primary day of this year–April 3, 2012–and giving Holder’s name and address. The poll worker promptly offers the young man Holder’s ballot to vote.

The young man then suggests that he should show his ID; the poll worker, in compliance with DC law, states: “You don’t need it. It’s all right. As long as you’re in here, you’re on our list, and that’s who you say you are, you’re okay.”

Here’s the video (also embedded below): US Attorney General Eric Holder’s Ballot to Vote Offered to Total Stranger

This brings to mind the following quote:

“Fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured… but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.”-Ben Stein

Mr. O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has proven:

…voter fraud is easy and simple–and may be increasingly common in the absence of voter ID laws.

Project Veritas has already shown how dead people can vote in New Hampshire, prompting the state senate to pass a voter ID law; they’ve also shown people can use celebrity names like Tim Tebow and Tom Brady to vote in Minnesota, prompting the state legislature to put voter ID on the ballot as a constitutional amendment. (Breitbart)

These certainly are issues, though they don’t seem numerous. Don’t get me wrong, though, it’s disturbing that we have incidents like this at all.

And, of course, you guys don’t forget when it came to light that Democrats were stuffing ballot boxes.

So let’s hear your thoughts. What do you think of voter ID laws?

  1. Yet he did not vote. So O’Keefe commits fraud and you are willing to disenfranchise lots of people. How about we just do something about the fraudster O’Keeke?

    • Yes, he did not vote. And no, I’m not willing to disenfranchise voters.

You stated in your comment on reddit “Apparently more people are killed by lightening every year than commit vote fraud.” That’s excellent, do you have figures backing that up?

I’m not saying voter fraud is a “huge deal.” Truth be told, I have no idea if it is or not.

      I appreciate your comment.
