New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has outlawed food donations to homeless shelters because the city can’t assess their salt, fat and fiber content.

Yes, that’s right. Rather than have you eat salty or fatty foods, Meddlin Mike would rather you starve to death. Oh, and by the way, this is all in the name of “benevolence.” You know, that concept that you can do no wrong, as long as you’re just trying to help?

Bloomberg is now like the soup nazi!

All in the name of trying to help, no doubt. Folks, this is what happens when those in government deem themselves the “smartest people in the room.” They tend to do really dumb things.

Glenn Richter, who has delivered over 2 tons of food to the homeless over a course of 20 years, had this to say:

“My father lived to 97; my grandfather lived to 97, and they all enjoyed it and somehow we’re being told that this is no good and I think there is a degree of management that becomes micromanagement and when you cross that line simply what you’re doing is wrong.”

So what do you think?
